Happy Earth Day (with a message from Spock)

In honor of Earth Day, I thought I’d post a photo of one of my reasons for hoping that we don’t forget to take care of this planet. Her Tinkerbell shirt has some blue and green, so it’s somewhat festive:

This is my Charlotte, age 2.

We kept a few pumpkin seeds from last year's crop and planted them inside~ we'll transplant them when it gets a little warmer outside. Here's her first attempt at gardening:

And here's to you, Mother Earth~ Live Long And Prosper!

(This is Charlotte as a baby~ she randomly flashed this sign and I caught it on camera. I don't even watch Star Trek, but I thought it was funny)

Have a wonderful weekend! Stay tuned next week for Pirate-Question Tuesday and another Agent Tweet Friday to round out the month!

  2. LOL this post was both heartwarming and hysterical at the same time!! We will be celebrating Earth Day today too. My kids are very fond of doing things like planting trees, cleaning up litter and running throughout the house to keep the lights off when they aren't needed. So, thanks for reminding us!

  5. See that attitude on her face? I just loved it. Loved it.
Star Trek is a scifi classic for me, just like Star Wars. You should give it a try when you get a chance.
Happy Earth day to you too. :)

  10. Awww, so cute! My boys like to help in the garden, too, for a little while anyway - until the lure of the swingset is too much to ignore.

    Have a good Earth Weekend!

  15. What a sweetheart! I bet she's a cuddler, and loves to have stories read to her...and I bet you love to do the reading :-) I know I enjoy reading to my 3-yr old granddaughter, altho she's usually too busy running around to stay still for it very long...

Have a great rest of the weekend!

  16. Oh, I forgot it was Earth Day too! Thanks for reminding me. I think I can find some seeds for my girls to plant, what a good idea.

  17. Your little girl is SO cute! And what a cute baby she was :D

    Earth Day is awesome!

The problem is, I think our governments (at least in Aus and the US) are the ones with the most power AND the least will to make a change. it pisses me off.

Of course, they have other very GREEN governments leading the way, but they seem to be ignoring those examples.
