My Book Has a COVER!!

Hi All!

I somehow won the Lucky Duck lottery and have
a book coming out next summer from
Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

THE ACTUAL & TRUTHFUL
ADVENTURES OF BECKY THATCHER
is part origin story, part retelling of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer from Becky Thatcher's point of view.

The cover artist is Iacopo Bruno, who has done THIS COVER:

Lauren Oliver's The Spindlers

and THIS COVER:
Soman Chainani's The School for Good and Evil

and THIS COVER:
M.M. Vaughan's The Ability

and THIS COVER:
Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, Italian version

WANT TO SEE MINE???

A sneak peek of Becky Thatcher herself is below, but head over to the WriteOnCon blog (click the link below) to see the whole thing!
*By the way, if you want to leave a comment over there (and I LOVE comments!), you might have to click on READ MORE at the bottom of the post, then scroll down :)*

  4. OH,OH, OH -- I LOVE it!! And I SO want this book for my classroom!
You must be over the moon with excitement.

And having original artwork commissioned for your book (instead of stock images) is the best, isn't it? I love how you shared the other covers by this artist. I wonder if I can do the same when HC lets me reveal mine ...

  11. I've been debating about whether I want to read Finn by Jon Clinch, a book about Huck Finn's father.
What's with all the Mark Twain related stuff lately?

    1. I guess something's in the water. His autobiography was released in 2010, 100 years after his death, so maybe that prompted an interest, though that's not what prompted my story. Hope you enjoy Finn if you end up reading it :)

    2. Oh, yeah, that's true.
I want to read that: the autobiography, that is. I keep meaning to put it on my list and, then, forgetting. I should go do that now.
