Love Middle Grade Fiction? Don't Miss This!

In case you haven't heard, two amazing bloggers are putting the spotlight on middle grade literature this month.

Akossiwa Ketoglo and Deb Marshall have created MIDDLE GRADE MARCH. The website is full of interviews, author posts, giveaways, and general love for middle grade lit. I spent a good thirty minutes drooling over THIS POST and looking up summaries of upcoming MG speculative fiction titles like these:

Current giveaways include (and there are many more to come):

ULTRA by David Carroll
WHAT THE MOON SAID by Gayle Rosengren
ULTRA by David Carroll
ELIZA BING IS (NOT) A BIG, FAT QUITTER by Carmella Van Vleet
ARC of THE HERO’S GUIDE TO BEING AN OUTLAW by Christopher Healy
SCREAMING AT THE UMP by Audrey Vernick

Akoss and Deb have put a ton of work and love into MIDDLE GRADE MARCH, so if you're a fan of middle grade books, please stop to help them celebrate kid lit. See you over there!

  1. SQUEAK! My book is on that list! I guess I should head over and check out that post, huh?

By the way, I was loading up my Kindle this evening with sample chapters for this weekend. I'm heading skiing with my daughter, and I know I'll be looking for something to read after the slopes and the hot tub. I went to load up YOUR sample chapters and was rather annoyed to discover your book is not out yet. WHY isn't your book out yet?! *taps foot impatiently*
(Yes, I know mine isn't out either, but I've already read mine.)

    1. Ha! Thanks Dianne :) Looking forward to reading yours! And I also get rather annoyed when certain books aren't out yet (*stares menacingly at the people in charge of releasing Robin LaFevers's Mortal Heart...November? Really?*)

  3. Thank you thank you for this! I must say this has been a lot of fun. Love middle grade and love sharing your books with young readers (hah, including the ten year old in me). Looking forward to reading your book, Dianne's too. And I know on that list Charlotte shared!

    1. There have been some cool/interesting interviews so far and a few titles have been put on my radar (like the speculative fiction ones above) that I now really, really want to read.

  7. I am already deeply in love w/The Luck Uglies, even though I have no idea whatsover what it's about. It's night and there's rooftops- that's really all I need to know. =)

    1. Isn't that the truth? I fell in love with The Rooftoppers by K. Rundell for the same reason :)
