Eternal Winter...

This is a picture of our backyard this morning.

It is APRIL 7th.
(Update: it is now April 13th and our weather forecast calls for 5-8 inches today with 5-9 inches of new accumulation tonight. That's a possible 17 inches of snow.)

I'm fairly certain that the weather has something to do with my daughter listening to the Frozen soundtrack over and over and over and...

She has set off an eternal winter.

Help me, Olaf. I need a warm hug.

  2. Gosh, you poor thing. I'm waiting for everything to turn green here in Pennsylvania. Now I won't complain about the rain and the 45 degree chill.

  5. I think we're done w/snow here(crosses fingers). We're starting up w/all the rain now. It's made it so hard to be productive today, all I want to do is cuddle w/a blanket on the couch!

  6. Wow. Since I'm in Texas, I shall only say that I feel your pain regarding the Frozen soundtrack on repeat. Well, in my place it's just "Let it go". Perhaps winter should do a little letting go of it's own where you are :-)

    1. Peepers? Aren't those the leaf people who go to the northeast to view foliage? If you come back and read this comment, please divulge!

  10. Oh, I hear your pain. The kids were out a half-day from school for snow last week--I am like it is way to late in the season for this.

We are all sending warm thoughts your way.

  11. Here in the Seattle area, we've finally gotten a couple of sunny evenings after a rainy March. Kind of nice.

  12. I hate to add this, but your link "Finding and Researching the Title" in your right column doesn't go anywhere.

  14. Oh my gosh! THIS morning??? So sorry. Winter has seemed eternal here though it's actually hitting 60 this afternoon. We might get a snowstorm next week, but I'll take it today! Here's hoping Olaf finds you for a big hug!!

  15. We had a lot of snow in Pennsylvania this year -- starting early and ending late. Since I was writing a book with weather gods in it, I did wonder if this was partly my fault.

However, I do recall that we have had snow as late as April 1. Yup, a snow day on April 1st in 1997 that was no April Fool's Joke -- except for me, because I was on the way to the hospital in labor. (That's why I remember it.)

The joke was on me, because I had 24 hours of labor to look forward to and a C-section on April 2.
