View from my front porch this morning. |
I love a good snowfall. I really do. I love the frosting it puts on the mountains and I love the holiday-ish feeling that the sight of snow always gives me. And I know that I'm a lucky lady to be in a situation where my family has a home and cars that the snow can fall on. I know all of that.
But this is becoming tiresome.
No, I do not want to build a snowman.
Oh, my gosh! It's almost May! Poor you. I mean, I planted flowers this last weekend- meaning I'm supremely confident there won't be anymore snow here. *quickly knocks on wood* Here's to hoping it melts super quickly!
ReplyDeleteI would love to plant flowers! Alas, it's not really safe to do that here before Memorial Day :)
DeleteThat really stinks. On the plus side, you have a really nice view of the mountains from your porch:)
ReplyDeleteTrue~ we're blessed with a very nice view :)
DeleteEven we didn't get snow and I live in a snowbelt. Flippin'
ReplyDeletecold as can be here though. Not sure about spring, we
usually don't see it until the end of May, anyway.
Cheers, keep warm and boogie boogie.
We're the same way, except we'll get FAKE spring in earlier months and then it'll dump snow on us again...
DeleteIf you mean by fake spring, 2.5 days of spring followed by more snow ... then I'm right there with ya.
DeleteYep, that's what I mean :)
DeleteOh, wow--you really got it!
ReplyDeleteLast year we had one final, big blizzard the first week of May. I'm wondering if we'll get the same this year. This week has been pretty cold and gross up here, but no snow yet. I want spring back!
Me too! I'm guessing we'll get at least one big snowfall in May, but hopefully that's it.
DeleteYeah, it's pretty and magical and all that -- in the beginning of winter. But not in the spring. Sorry you got dumped on, Jess. Hope it's sunny and warmer soon.
ReplyDeleteI think we're heading for warmer weather this weekend, thanks!
DeleteOur last snow was the first part of April and I thought that was late. What a year so far--it is getting old, isn't it? Thanks btw for the Frozen clip. My almost 6-yr old granddaughter keeps talking about it and I have had no clue what it was all about. Now I have a better idea :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I've got the whole soundtrack memorized because it's been played so often. My hubby even knows a lot of the songs :)
DeleteAre you sure you live in CO? Are you on the top of a mountain?
ReplyDeleteIt's 95 degrees here, today.
Not on the top of a mountain, no. I live at around 7,200 feet, so it's not even that high. We're just in a spot that gets hit with a bunch of snow. But if it's 95 where you are, what's the temp like in July?
DeleteOh, this is really high, right now. Unseasonal heat wave. Temps above 90 are not really all that common.
Deletelol. My daughter sings it and cracks up when I tell her no, I don't wanna build a snowman. =)
ReplyDeleteMine LOVES that song. She loves the whole soundtrack.
DeleteOh my goodness!! The weather is so crazy - it snowed in Flagstaff Arizona last weekend! I hope your spring comes quick - like tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberly~ hope yours comes quickly as well!
DeleteAnd I was complaining about the wind howling 2 days ago. So agree with you that this awful weather needs to end. Hope you get nice weather soon. We just started to yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI think it's supposed to warm up this weekend her as well :)
DeleteI am sending you warm and snow melting thoughts. We had a lousy cold and blustery day yesterday, but warmer air prevailed, at least in the afternoon today.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend Jessica.
It's May 2 as I reply to this comment and it's been a lovely day!
DeleteHa! I'm hoping the weather has cleared up a little since you posted this blog….
