Note: This is an opportunity for digital publication.
That's all for today~ please have a wonderful, bear-free weekend! We've had a new bear in the neighborhood who has targeted our trash bin, ripping off the door two more times in the last week. He's a big guy. I saw him out of the corner of my eye while driving to a writer's conference over the weekend and was like, "What the heck? Does somebody have a giant black Newfoundland dog that's bounding across the front lawn of our neighbor's yard and...oh, crap. That would be a bear." No more early morning jogs for my hubby.
Yikes on the big bear. And thanks for the info on the manuscripts. Very cool. Good luck to all that give it a go.
ReplyDeleteYikes, indeed :)
DeleteI saw some bears testing bear proof cans in Yellowstone, and they managed to get them all open. They're really very clever. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWe've got bear proof cans around here, and they seem to work okay. Those Yellowstone bears are really savvy :)
DeleteI feel a Wild America moment coming on! lol
ReplyDeleteVery cool/interesting thing for Harper to do. Wonder if it's a test run for future opportunities like this? Can't fathom the number of 'scripts they'll get, though. :-)
Ha! Wild America! What a great show :) I'm sure they'll be inundated, but I don't think they'd do it if they didn't think they'd find some gems. I hope they do!
DeleteVery interesting. If they end up with some great submissions, I wonder if they'll do it a gain.
ReplyDeletePossibly~ I hope they do!
DeleteYikes on the bear. I'd be freaking out. Thanks for sharing about the submission info.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Natalie. I like bears in the wild, but I don't live in the wild (okay, it's kind of rural, but school buses drive by my house, so it's not bear country).
DeleteWords no one wants to say: "We have a new bear in the neighborhood." Hope everyone stays at a distance!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Jess.
Thanks, Beth!
DeleteWhat a great opportunity! Colorado has had their share of nuisance bears this dry year, haven't they? My parents in Durango have had one in their trash can for months.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great weekend too!
I feel sorry for your parents. I'm just glad I don't have a child in diapers at the moment. It is NO fun picking up the contents of a torn-open bag of diapers.
DeleteWe have the neighborhood bear, too. He has the trash schedules memorized for the whole town!

Ha! Sounds like an organized, Type A troublemaker!
DeleteIt IS truly thrilling news. I have friends working feverishly to complete their WIPs by Oct 14th. Mine's done and being queried, so at least I don't have to make myself crazy and can submit on the 1st. Good luck to everyone who tries! :-)
